Built With Purpose
Why we built NHA Consulting and the experience that shaped our approach to ERP implementation oversight.
Across decades of work in finance leadership and ERP transformation, our team has operated inside organizations spanning public sector institutions and private enterprises across industries such as manufacturing, retail, construction, and services. We have led and participated in numerous ERP implementations, some highly successful and others that taught us valuable lessons about what can quietly go wrong.
What We Learned
Many organizations invest heavily in ERP systems, yet the implementation journey often lacks independent financial oversight. Internal teams are often stretched between operational demands, monthly reporting cycles, and annual audit requirements. Vendors focus on deployment, while project teams focus on timelines. In the middle of this complexity, critical financial processes, reporting requirements, and control structures can easily be overlooked.
Why Projects Drift
This is where many ERP projects begin to drift. Key deliverables may be delayed, financial workflows may not be fully validated, reporting outputs may not align with management or audit expectations, and organizations often realize these gaps only after go-live. By that point, correcting course becomes significantly more difficult and costly.
Why We Built This Firm
Our firm was built to close this gap. Based on our collective implementation experience, we recognized the need for independent financial oversight during ERP implementations, a role dedicated to ensuring that nothing essential is compromised along the way. We focus not only on system configuration, but on the full ecosystem surrounding financial reporting: inputs, processes, controls, outputs, and the integrity of the final reports that leadership relies on.
How We Work
We work alongside management, project teams, and system vendors to ensure that implementation remains aligned with operational realities, reporting obligations, and compliance deadlines, including audits and regulatory requirements that continue while the project is underway.
What Success Should Look Like
Most importantly, we focus on value creation. A successful ERP implementation should not only satisfy finance teams and senior leadership, it should also make daily operations easier, clearer, and more efficient. When financial processes connect smoothly with operational workflows, the entire organization benefits.
That is the standard we hold ourselves to: ensuring that every ERP implementation delivers the control, clarity, and long-term value it was meant to achieve.
